Veterans' Appreciation Day

Thank you to all who made Newport Central Catholic's first ever Veterans' Appreciation Day a success.  It was our honor to show our gratitude to the men and women who served and are serving our country.

It was our intention for this event to honor our veterans, educate our students, and engage our community.  All three of these objectives were completed, because of everyone involved including veterans, students, faculty, and staff.

A special thank you to our Keynote Speaker LTC Micheal Marchetti, the Color Guard & Missing Man Ceremony Participants of the Green Township VFW Post 10380, and Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Jack Wagner from the NC Class of 1965.  Additionally, Newport Central Catholic's Veterans' Board made up of Carl Heck '68, Jim Cox, Charles Hoffman '06 and Patrick Collopy '08 was instrumental in the organization and execution of the event.

Due to the impact and success of this event, we have every intention of making this an annual tradition on The Hill!
